Educational Resources

This resource is designed to address two Australian Curriculum content strands in the Design and Technologies subject. 

 

'Investigate how and why food and fibre are produced in managed environments and prepared to enable people to grow and be healthy(ACTDEK021)'

 

'Develop project plans that include consideration of resources when making designed solutions individually and collaboratively (ACTDEP028)'.

 

It integrates Sustainability, one of the cross-curriculum priorities. It also includes several of the general capabilities, including Literacy, through the analysis of topics and ideas, the composition of texts,  delivery of presentations and interaction with a variety of texts. Another general capability incorporated is ICT capabilty. This is included in several ways, including generating ideas, plans and processes and exploring information using ICTs. Critical and Creative thinking is present thorugh the organisation and processing of information and  the development of creative solutions.
